The Couple Next Door
What's the Story?
As they're moving into a new house in the suburbs, Pete and Evie meet Danny and Becka, THE COUPLE NEXT DOOR (though technically, they're across the street). The four form a fast friendship, but soon the couples' lives become entangled in ways that will change them all forever.
Is It Any Good?
Good old-fashioned steamy erotic dramas don't get produced a lot these days. The Couple Next Door sets out to scratch that particular itch and does so reasonably well. There are plenty of flaws in terms of plot holes and cliches, but the series will be appealing to certain audiences. It treats intense subjects like polyamory, IVF, and sexual abuse with the complexity they deserve, while still remaining campy enough to engage casual viewers.
