What's the Story?

THE DEAD GIRLS follows the Baladro sisters, who run a brothel in 1960s Mexico. Serafina and Arcángela Baladro (Paulina Gaitan and Arcelia Ramírez) have plenty of money, an empire, and the police department in their pocket. Serafina enters a tumultuous relationship with Simón (Alfonso Herrera), and she thinks about a domestic life outside of the brothel. But when one of their girls is found dead in a room, the empire that the sisters built on corruption, murder, and vengeance begins to crumble.

Is It Any Good?

Our review:
Parents say : Not yet rated
Kids say : Not yet rated

This series takes an extremely melodramatic approach to a true story of murder, corruption, and revenge. The Dead Girls is over-the-top, intriguing, and chaotic. The start-and-stop, dark comedic pacing will either pull viewers into the story or confuse them. This is definitely not for young viewers, and parents should note the sexual content, violence, drinking, smoking, and language.
