THE GRIMM VARIATIONS is an anime anthology series that explores dark and twisted reinterpretations of the classic Grimm fairytales such as Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Hansel and Gretel, and more. Each episode presents a different tale reimagined in unique and often disturbing new contexts, diverging greatly from their traditional versions.

Is It Any Good?

Our review:
Parents say : Not yet rated
Kids say ( 1 ):

This anime stands out for its bold reinterpretation of classic fairy tales, infusing them with dark and mature themes. The Grimm Variations successfully brings a new perspective to age-old stories by delving into psychological complexities and moral ambiguities. But its reliance on graphic violence and brutality can be particularly disturbing. Sensitive viewers should be aware that some episodes feature extreme depictions of gore, mutilation, and sadistic behavior. While the animation quality and creative storytelling are commendable, the intense and often shocking nature of the violence might overshadow the series' innovative narrative approaches for some viewers.
