The Kids in the Hall (2022)
Parent and Kid Reviews
What's the Story?
After being buried alive at the end of the series' original run, The Kids in the Hall are dug up and unleashed once more on the world. The beloved sketch comedy group comes back with a season of all-new material that covers everything from current events to throwbacks to fax machines.
Is It Any Good?
Unlike comedy revivals that fail to live up to their predecessors because humor is so dependent on its cultural context, this one works well at least partly because it feels trapped in the '90s. This new version of The Kids in the Hall retains familiar details, down to the same music and interstitials of the original run. Yet material also draws a lot on the Kids members aging and the generation gap between Gen X and Z. Still, the group's low-key charm helps the new episodes feel timeless.
