What's the Story?
THE MCBEE DYNASTY: REAL AMERICAN COWBOYS is an unscripted series about a Missouri family of ranchers working hard to hold on to their business and their way of life. Patriarch Steve McBee is the owner and president of McBee Farm & Cattle company, a farm and ranch he runs with the help of CFO Galyna Saltkovska and his four adult sons, Steven Jr., Jesse, Cole, and Brayden. When they're not working with crops, cattle, or the family's expanding carwash business, they spend their time with their significant others and with each other. But thanks to a few years of drought and catastrophic flooding, the farm isn't making a profit, and the McBees, along with their employees, are working hard in hopes of landing a $105 million venture capital deal to keep it afloat.
Is It Any Good?
This reality series offers a real-life Yellowstone experience thanks to all the business, family, and romantic drama. However, while The McBee Dynasty has some charm, it isn't particularly wholesome thanks to some edgy content and a fair share of unspoken (but obvious) regressive attitudes and behaviors. Unfortunately, it's these sexist narratives that stir up the most excitement, especially when compared to events like watching the family open a new car wash location or staring at the sky waiting for rain. However, the relationship between the brothers seems genuine, and it's obvous that they are very proud of their father's hard work, as well as the legacy he wants to leave behind. Some folks may find The McBee Dynasty to be a bit obnoxious, but reality show fans may find it entertaining.
