What's the Story?

In THE PROMISED LAND, Moses (Wasim No'mani,The Chosen) has brought his people out of Egypt, though the Red Sea, into the desert as free people. Now he has to lead them. With help from his brother Aaron and sister Miriam, he solves disputes among his people, while trying to do God's will. Will they ever make it to the promised land? He's only human after all.

Moses and the twelve tribes of Israel's story re-cast in a sometimes funny mockumentary. It's a fine line between comedy and crudity, and the The Promised Land occasionally crosses it. There aren't a lot of shows like this out there; it's hard to mix religion and comedy and stay respectful. Many viewers may enjoy this show for its awkward comedy, while some may find it lacking. Religious viewers will be happy to find biblical lessons embedded in the content. Comic attempts at circumcision jokes might offend sensitive viewers, but otherwise, it's okay for teens.
