What's the Story?

THE VALLEY is a reality series starring former Vanderpump Rules cast members as they settle down into suburban life. After enjoying everything that the SUR nightlife has to offer, reality veterans and influencers Jax Taylor and his wife Brittany Cartwright have moved to the Valley with their son, Cruz. Also living in the area is former fellow cast member Kristen Doute, who's looking to have a baby with boyfriend Luke. Meanwhile, former child actor Danny Booko and his wife, former Miss USA Nia Booko, are raising three small children of their own nearby. Soon-to-be parents Janet and Jason Caperna are also in the area. Meanwhile, Michelle and Jessy Lally don't live in the Valley, but are still considered part of the gang. Adding to the fray are some of their insider friends, including former Survivor cast member Jasmine Good and Brittany's college friend Zack Wickham. From county fair-themed parties to moving their garbage cans and putting sunscreen on their kids, they're making the most of this new life phase. Nonetheless, the gossipy drama never seems to be far behind.

Is It Any Good?

The reality series spinoff features a group of people who've left city life for family life in northwestern Los Angeles without leaving the predictable reality fare behind. While the drama is in a slightly lower key than in Vanderpump Rules, there's still plenty of boozing, insult hurling, and arguing, some of which happens in front of children. Some cast members aren't particularly likable, and some don't even seem to like each other. The introduction of new characters into the mix only makes this worse. Fans of the parent series voyeuristic entertainment are the only ones who'll enjoy this one.
