What Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that The Wonderful Winter of Mickey Mouse is a winter special spin-off of The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse. Much like in the original series, Mickey and his crew are put in outrageous situations that are resolved by the end, but not without violence such as smashing and flattening characters, some scariness like monsters and evil faces, and suspense that may be a bit intense for younger viewers.
Community Reviews
We shouldn’t have to sensor Mickey Mouse from our children. I don’t even have kids and am embarrassed for anyone who would be okay letting their kids see this. Especially when it’s supposed to be heartwarming. What the hell are we coming to?

What's the Story?
Three winter-themed shorts make up THE WONDERFUL WINTER OF MICKEY MOUSE. In the first, Mickey Mouse (Chris Diamantopoulous) is a worker at a snowflake factory in the sky. He wants very badly to create a snowflake, but his job is to mop the place. Curiosity gets the best of him, and a peculiar sequence of events unfolds as he tries to cover up the mess that he's made. In the second short, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck (Tony Anselmo), and Goofy (Bill Farmer) are on their way to a vacation cabin. Once inside, they find themselves trapped, and they begin to lose their minds while waiting to be rescued. The insanity continues when they discover an out. In the final short, Mickey and Minnie Mouse (Kaitlyn Robrock) wow a crowd with their figure skating talents, but Goofy's fishing expedition at the lake interferes. As Mickey and Minnie try to take their show to the next level -- you guessed it -- things get loony. All three shorts leave viewers wondering if it's really a wonderful winter after all!
Is It Any Good?
This not-so-wonderful winter spin-off is definitely not the typical Mickey Mouse special full of music and colors for the littlest viewers. In The Wonderful Winter of Mickey Mouse, the comical absurdity and nonsensical violence typical of Looney Tunes meets the grotesque close-up reminiscent of The Ren & Stimpy Show, all with a retro Disney look, but zero Disney vibe (and even less substance, if that's even possible). Fans of The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse may enjoy the winter celebration, but those looking for something more on-brand for Disney will be in for a rude awakening.
