What's the Story?

The Aprés Ski spinoff TIMBER CREEK LODGE features the staff of a luxury house located in Whistler, British Columbia. Joey Gibbons, the CEO of the VIP travel experience company Gibbons Life, has hired a hospitality team to run the company-owned mountain lodge and offer guests a non-stop five-star experience. Headed up by lodge manager Katy Boyd, the group of Canadians, Americans, and Australians, including assistant lodge manager Jamie Murphy, personal chef Nikita Williams, and head house keeper Louise Robinson, make sure that the lodge is up to snuff. Senior "VIP mountain host" Mark Milburn, along with professional big-mountain free-skier Colton Villanueva and instructor Cynthia Barker, takes guests on over-the-top ski trips and mountain adventures. Lodgehand Blake Dubler and housekeeping assistant Genna Gillund join the fray. They must work hard to meet the expectations of demanding clients, but it's managing the day-to-drama between them is the biggest challenge that comes with the job.

This pretty ridiculous reality series features a group of semi-professional hospitality staffers who are looking to have their share of fun while running a VIP guest lodge. Like its sister series, it features guests enjoying skiing trips, over-the-top parties, and gourmet meals. But rather than guest glamour, it's the lodge staff's outlandish behavior that drives the show.

Viewers who like to watch folks enjoy luxury experiences might be compelled to watch. But the petty arguments, innuendo-fueled conversations, and sexual exploits of the cast are neverending. If you find this entertaining you won't be disappointed, but Timber Creek Lodge doesn't really offer a VIP viewing experience.

  • Families can also talk about reality shows. Why do you think people agree to appear on them? Does it sound like something you'd like to do?
