Parent and Kid Reviews
What's the Story?
In TOTALLY COMPLETELY FINE, Vivian (Thomasin McKenzie) is on the verge of taking her own life when she learns her grandfather has died and left her a property situated on a cliff high above the sea. After moving in, she soon realizes what she's actually inherited is more than a house, and just might be a life calling.
Is It Any Good?
With a biting sense of humor, a cast of kooky characters, and a deep exploration of the causes of suicide, the show takes viewers on a thoughtful journey. On the brink of suicide, Vivian finds new purpose after discovering the hidden secrets of her inherited view property above the sea. Despite the witty writing and important subject matter in Totally Completely Fine, episodes drag and the use of repeated flashbacks gets old quickly. Rounding out its main characters would also take the show from just interesting to truly compelling.
