What's the Story?
TOTALLY WEIRD AND FUNNY is a reality comedy show featuring fun, strange, and hilarious internet video clips. Hosts Noah Matthews, Brian Cooper, and Mikalah Gordon present their favorite videos in front of a live studio audience in hopes that they, along with the audience, will choose one of them as the funniest video of the week. In addition to adding their own unique commentary about each one, the trio also plays challenge games with the studio audience.
Is It Any Good?
This lighthearted series features a range of mildly funny internet clips accompanied by awkward banter. Videos are organized according to broad themes, ranging from cute kids being cute or mischievous to pranks being pulled on unsuspecting people to elicit laughs. But while some of the clips on Totally Weird and Funny may make you chuckle, the hosts' commentary about them make them feel less amusing, especially when their jokes fall flat. Families who like this sort of thing may want to check it out, but others may just want to skip it.
Talk to Your Kids About ...
Families can talk about why people post videos on the internet. Why do people want strangers to watch them? Why is it important to be careful about imitating behaviors we see online?
When does a video go from being funny to being inappropriate, unethical, or humiliating? Are there any on Totally Weird and Funny that cross that line? Does any show need to make fun of people to be funny?
