Stanley Tucci's walks around the Italian countryside are practically an ambient experience. Tucci in Italy leans into the leisureliness of Italian life, where time seems to stretch to infinite corners, and the most important things to do are cooking and eating. Tucci is consistently over the top: A sandwich isn't just good, it "redefines his idea of what a sandwich is." The series often takes its time watching and hearing Tucci theatrically eat. But the focus on visual details and idiosyncratic dishes makes Tucci's strolls feel very much like visiting the country oneself.
