What's the Story?

The unscripted series spin-off VANDERPUMP VILLA features the employees of a luxury villa working together to please their affluent guests. Lisa Vanderpump owns Chateau Rosabelle, a luxury estate in the south of France that she transformed into a hospitality venue. She has handpicked the 12 members of her staff, including chateau manager Eric Funderwhite, servers Marciano Brunette, Hannah Fouch, and Priscila Ferrari, mixologists Telly Hall and Andre Mitchell, and housekeepers Grace Cottrell and Emily Kovacs. While events coordinators Gabriella Canon and Stephen Alsvig take care of organizing things for guests, executive chef Anthony Bar and chef Caroline Byl work their magic in the kitchen. From helping guests plan a marriage proposal to serving up the best cocktails, the crew is committed to providing those who stay a decadent experience. But behind-the-scenes they have to figure out how to follow the rules, tone down the drama, and get along with each other and not upset their tough boss.

Is It Any Good?

Our review:

The French countryside-focused TV installment of the Vanderpump universe offers all of the unscripted relationship drama, hookups, and boozing one expects from the franchise. Granted, the romantic nature of the luxury property differs quite a bit from the trendy West Hollywood locales Lisa Vanderpump owns, but the staff is no less focused on having a good time or competing with each other. Unlike on Vanderpump Rules, though, it's not as easy to fire and hire folks given their location, which means that certain behaviors are tolerated or forgiven a little more easily. Nonetheless, Vanderpump Villa checks all the boxes when it comes to voyeuristic reality fare.
