What's the Story?
Based on true events, WAR SAILOR begins with the German occupation of Norway during World War II while two sailors are at sea on a merchant ship. They soon learn the government has decided all merchant ships now sail for the British king and must transport bombs for the Allies. As German subs sink more and more of the Norwegian fleet, the men fear the Allies may be bombing their German-occupied hometown, leaving them to grapple with the consequences of their actions while fighting to survive.

This show is a harrowing and emotional look at a unique World War II story. As a group of Norwegian sailors come to terms with the war that has developed while they've been away, and they've new found role within it, they struggle with their conflicting moral obligations to their families and their country. War Sailor boasts stunning war visuals that interweave with heart-wrenching depictions of young soldiers struggling with PTSD and families struggling to survive under German occupation. This is a thought-provoking and powerful limited series that provides a unique perspective on the horrors of war.
