Parent and Kid Reviews
What's the Story?
WATCHING YOU starts off with paramedic Lina (Aisha Dee) and fiancé Cain (Chai Hansen) basking in the glow of their recent engagement. They're also wavering under the pressure of finances, wedding planning, work, and the loss of Lina's grandfather. At a party, Lina's eyes wander and latch onto Dan Moore (Josh Helman). Soon Lina's having an affair with Dan in their friend's rental property. Later, Lina discovers there were hidden cameras capturing her tryst with Dan. Lina struggles to balance her life as she's being blackmailed. But what if the voyeur is closer than she thought?
Is It Any Good?
This series explores a terrifying, topical subject in today's digital and media landscape. Watching You is thrilling, dark, and anxiety-inducing. The high stakes (and the occasional fumbling character mistakes) are delivered well in performances by Dee, Hansen, and Helman. The sexual content, violence, drinking, and language make this suitable for older viewers.
