Who Is Erin Carter?
What's the Story?
WHO IS ERIN CARTER? is a British limited series about a woman who flees from England to Spain and is later discovered under violent circumstances. Five years ago Erin Collantes (Evin Ahmad) fled to Barcelona with her daughter Harper (Leila Faith Lopez/Indica Watson) and is now married to Jordi Collantes (Seane Teale) and works as a substitute teacher at an English school. Erin has settled into life in Catalunya, has a few friends, including school administrator Olivia Thorne (Susannah Fielding), as well as uptight neighbors like Penelope Gough (Charlotte Vega). But when she inadvertently stumbles upon a robbery in a supermarket, one of the thieves recognizes her, threatening her new life and her loved ones.
Is It Any Good?
The action series features a strong and and independent female lead whose story is as complicated as it is violent. Much of Erin Collantes' (Evin Ahmad) backstory isn't revealed until much later in the Who Is Erin Carter? narrative, despite the fact that her enemies slowly make themselves known throughout and force her to engage in brutal, bloody, fatal clashes. There are a few secondary plot lines to offset this, but they don't always integrate smoothly into the story world. But there is something compelling about Who Is Erin Carter?, thanks to its interesting cast, and the fact that it's able to successfully increase the tension to make it entertainingly suspenseful.
