What's the Story?

After much reading about urban legends, a group of 12-year-olds ventures underground in search of lost treasure in WONDERBOYS: THE SECRET TREASURE OF NAPLES. To avoid losing their apartments and being torn apart, these best friends search for El Munaciello, a Robin Hood-type figure, who they believe can help. Along the way, they face booby traps, henchmen, a crocodile, and the pain of betrayal. Through it all, they learn the true meaning of treasure.

The strong ending makes it a rewarding watch, but getting there is not easy. The narrative in Wonderboys: The Secret Treasure of Naples is hard to follow, so it takes time for the audience to feel invested. For kids who like mystery shows and aren't afraid of the dark, it's a good entry point, with the added bonus of exploring the Italian landscape and culture.
