What's the Story?

YAKUZA FIANCE: RAISE WA TANIN GA II follows a high school student named Yoshino Somei (voiced by Hitomi Ueda). Her grandfather is a Yakuza gang member and wants to set her up in an arranged marriage with the grandson of another Yakuza family, Kirishima Miyama (voiced by Akira Ishida). She agrees to move from Osaka to Tokyo, Japan, to live with Kirishima and decide whether she agrees to marry him. At first he seems kind and gentle, but as time goes on, he proves himself to be just like the Yakuza. Yoshino struggles to make the decision between honoring her family's expectations and Yakuza tradition or making her own way in life.

Is It Any Good?

Our review:
Parents say : Not yet rated
Kids say ( 1 ):

This anime is dark and mature. Yakuza Fiance: Raise wa Tanin ga Ii is packed with violence, blood, smoking, sexual content, and more. For older viewers, however, its story is an interesting take on a side of Japan that tends to be looked down on. Viewers will find themselves rooting for Yoshino and hoping to see her keep her innocent and moral side.
