Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires
What's the Story?
Zed, Addison, and their friends are on their way to summer camp to improve their skills before they return to school, which is now Mountain College. A car crash suddenly sends them into different worlds, where they meet some all-new beings. The Daywalkers live in a light-filled land, while the Vampires prefer the dark. Needless to say, they don't get along, though they both require the hard-to-find bloodfruit to survive. Will Zed and Addison help them? And will they be able to find a way home?
Is It Any Good?
This by-the-book sequel still has enough of the Zombies charm. Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires has new creatures, new friends, but the same ol' song-and-dance. Even though they're now in college, the crew still has distinctly high school vibes, which is why it's nice to see some of the focus shifted to new characters Victor, Vera, and Nova. The messages also remain the same: Be true to yourself but open to change. Fans of the franchise should enjoy this visit to Seabrook and its neighboring lands.
Talk to Your Kids About ...
Families can talk about all the creatures in Zed and Addison's world. Based on the previous Zombies movies, do you think the Daywalkers and Vampires will accept each other?
What do you think keeps the creatures in Zombies 4 from getting along? How do they end up learning about each other? Can you compare their situation to any real-life ones?
