Want to play Panfu? Don't bother.
Let's begin this review by saying how I first saw this game. It all started when me and my mom saw an advertisement on the television. We thought it was good so we looked it up and created an account. In my point of view, the game was rather colourful and seemed fun at first, until I realized how bad this game is.
Basically, Panfu is your typical virtual world that contains features that any virtual world has, except it's aimed for children. The more you play it, the lamer the gameplay gets. I mean, you have to purchase membership to have access to almost anything. Plus, some users would degrade you once they found out your membership expires.
So, there was this one time, my panda reached level 5; the level where all pandas get to try out the benefits of being a gold panda until you reach the next level. Let's just say that everyone respected you due to your superiority. Once my short gold panda experience ended, people could barely recognize you.
Also, there has been inappropriate activities going on as stated by other users.
Conclusion: If you want your children to have a positive mind until they become such an adolescent like me, I suggest to stay away from this game.

Why's everyone complaining?
Panfu is a fun site to chat and play imaginary games on. its definitely better if you can read and type. yes people shout "who needs a girlfriend" but its part of an imaginary game. There isn't anything about sex. maybe they have changed it since you guys have posted all the reviews saying how terrible it is. I use it often to chat with my best friend and pretend i'm a mum and shes my child.

Let me give you a proper review of this game, kids...
My panda is Laurenii, and I have been playing on Panfu since the very start, although I had a few accounts.
What I think about Panfu? Well, that is a mixed opinion. Looking at other kids' reviews, they clearly are the most overly-dramatic ones I have ever read!
Firstly, let me say that Panfu is for children of around 8 to 13. The age limit can be varied, depending on your maturity. If people go around spamming the chat with "WHO NEEDS A GF COME TO MAH TREE !!!", I would just simply ignore them (and practically everyone in the lobby would too). You see, the whole point about the girlfriend/boyfriend thing is that everyone can see that they are absolute idiots, therefore no one reacts, and not even the youngest players bother. If someone does then it's very likely a player with multiple accounts on who's trying to make it look as if people are actually going to their 'tree'.
Why?
Because no one cares about their sad little boyfriend/girlfriend request! If in the rare case someone does react then that is what naturally kids do on chats to portray someone cool. Yes - it is inappropriate to be pretending to have sex online - but it is much safer than going on real chats with no strict chat rules. Those kids would never actually do that in real life. As time goes by in the game, they will eventually get blocked permanently.
My second point - the chat rules. They are ridiculous! My friend got banned once for saying 'the amazing story of adolphus tips', the name of a book. Panfu was made in Germany, and perhaps the word 'adolph' was considered as taking the mick out of Hitler and Germany.
But still? The Panfu moderators should actually monitor the chat to see if someone was saying something in the appropriate sense. They also ban the most innocent of words and ignore the more obvious ones.
On Panfu there is no real problem with swearing. Occasionally the older kids might squeeze in a word or two, but once again within the pass of time they will get permanently blocked when they get too over-confident. And trust me, the ones on the game who don't break the rules are actually pretty happy about this :)
And my final point, the consumerism on Panfu. I completely understand the need for ads and the pressure to buy a gold package. This is because, when you think about it, there are not many pandas with a gold package. If it weren't for the in-game ads, the game's company will eventually become bankrupt! So many ignorant children moaning about this feature is NOT needed, for if they thought about it closely they wouldn't be saying what they are now about it.
The pressure to buy a gold package isn't the worst, although I think that you should be able to buy a few items in the game and take care of the pets you already own. It's always "In order to do this, you have to buy a gold package!" and "In order to do that, you have to buy a gold package!". It's always tempting you with the offers. At least they all have a free Gold Panda Day on Fridays, where you get to use all the powers and gold panda opportunities!
The ads on Panfu should be a lot more strictly monitored. IMVU ads on a 6-12 y.o kids game is just not right, neither are bank account deals and reductions on items in shops.
The reason why I'm mainly targeting the IMVU website is because that is not appropriate content for under 12's. I mean, why is an ad with clearly adult 3D characters dressed up in raunchy outfits next to a child's multiplayer game? This also adds up to the safety issue on Panfu with third-party websites.
It is very easy to get blocked if you are a gold panda, and you lose your membership quickly. I suggest only getting a membership if you can really trust your child to be sensible in the game.
HOWEVER...
I love playing on Panfu and I don't see the problem with it if you just have a proper mind about it. If I was 10 years old and I could play this game without ever getting blocked or getting told about the rules of the internet, then surely can a 12 year old in this day of age. Besides, on Panfu they are constantly adding more quests and things to do and the safety is improving.
I don't see the point of all the other reviews where kids come to have a little whine about why they got blocked, a.k.a for sexting online or for trying to slip in some bad vocabulary.
...So there you have it! The game is harmless for children with a sensible mind. And that is my conclusion, and I'm pretty sure all of you would agree.

Panfu Sucks (MUST READ BEFORE LETTING YOUR SON/DAUGHTER PLAY THIS GAME)
Yeah Guys, I wouldn't recommend you parents to let your kids/daughter join this site is totally not for kids. Lots of pandas bypass the swear filter and you are allowed to say things like ass, boobs, and all the other nonsense. There is a lot of dating going on in Panfu. Pandas asking "WHO NEEDS A BF/GF?!" Also, as bad as this seems, I saw people having sex on Panfu once. People were naked and posting lots of inappropriate jokes. Also, the swear filter sometimes doesn't even make sense, I got banned once for saying "fart". I guess it is appropriate, but the thing is, it is they "way" you use it. I wouldn't recommend buying membership either, you get banned extremely easy. So don't buy membership, if you do, here is an alternative, throw 10 bucks in the trash each moth. So please don't buy membership for your son/daughter. P.S This website is like freaking pg-13, and hey, if you want your kid to swear or learn inappropriate/dirty jokes, then you should play this game.

Cute and child friendly? I don't think so.
I HATE THIS WEBSITE.
Yes, it seem's cute and everything when you see it advertised on T.V, but I tell you, it's not! There are too much people talking about girlfriend's and boyfriend's, and the safety suck's.
For example, I got a ban for playing vampire's with my friend on it, just because I said "I'm gonna get you." How dumb is that?
Parent's if you want your kid's playing on a decent website, Panfu isn't the one! Try Moshi Monster's, or Fantage!
