What’s It About?
PhotoPeach is an online slide-show creator kids can use to tell stories, organize photos, or create presentations. You can access photos from Facebook, Picasa, and your own computer, and PhotoPeach walks you through the creation process, showing you how to add captions and music.
Is It Any Good?
PhotoPeach is a perfectly simple little site that does just what it sets out to do: provide a place to create slide shows. Users only need to upload their media, and the resulting slide shows can look quite polished. It's great that you can choose any song from YouTube, but the video will play in a tiny corner of the screen. This means that if a kid wants to use a Nicki Minaj song as background music for a report on nuclear fission, attention may be divided. You may want your kids to stick to the less exciting (but still decent) preloaded songs.
Talk to Your Kids About ...
With PhotoPeach, kids can create slide shows to share with the family. Whether it's about a recent trip or a favorite pet, the options for creation are wide-open.
Tell kids about the original slide shows -- the ones that actually used slides. How do slide shows bring people together? What types of memories do people like to save and share?
