Parents need to know that Emma Chamberlain is YouTube channel where 21-year-old influencer Emma Chamberlain, who earned her fame through vlogging when she was 15 years old. Emma's channel features vlogs that offer a glimpse into her everyday life as she navigates the realities of newfound fame. Viewers are able to watch older videos and follow her journey as she rises in fame, moves to Los Angeles, takes brand trips with Louis Vuitton and is invited to high-profile events like the Met Gala. Emma is a charming, down to earth young adult who deals with common coming-of-age themes like self esteem, loneliness, mental health issues and purpose. It should be noted that her Instagram linked on her page has a completely different feel and is less relatable and more curated. Parents should be aware that Emma speaks candidly and swears in most of her videos, using words like f--k, s--t and bitch. At times there are jokes made that are not sexual in nature but reference male body parts and genitalia for comedic purpose. Because of her lifestyle, consumerism is a big theme throughout each video as she shares shopping hauls, lavish trips and experiences with very expensive fashion brands. She also has a store on her channel where she sells her products. While this content may be glamorous and exciting for tweens, it may be helpful for parents to pair viewings with conversations around materialism and financial literacy. Due to the nature of the YouTube platform, viewers may be subjected to ads that are not always guaranteed to be age appropriate.

What’s It About?
EMMA CHAMBERLAIN is a coming-of-age YouTube channel about a young woman's rise to fame and stardom through sharing her life through her vlog. Viewers follow Emma as she develops into a young woman living out her wildest dreams. Emma's vlog style makes the viewer feel as if they're close friends along for the ride.
