Is It Any Good?
BRITANNICA KIDS: DINOSAURS isn't the most comprehensive dinosaur encyclopedia that we've come across on the App Store, but it's an accessible and visually appealing reference tool with an impressive library of drawings that help bring the giant lizards to life. The pop-up scroll wheel used to navigate between the app's different sections remains a bit awkward to use, but otherwise the app is very enjoyable. A handful of words in the text are highlighted, and kids can click on them to read short definitions of words like "extinct," "ecosystems," and "carnivorous."
