What Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that Christmas Tale is a short but cute and sweet free interactive ebook. The story provides a basic description of what happens on Christmas Eve, with Santa coming while children are asleep and leaving presents under the tree. It's similar in that way to the classic "Twas the Night Before Christmas." Kids and parents can record their own audio, or listen to the narrator. There are many activities as well as interactive spots on each page, and kids can read along with the story as the text is highlighted.

Is It Any Good?
CHRISTMAS TALE feels like a nice little holiday gift. This free app presents a rather basic Santa-comes-and-leaves-gifts story (sort of like Twas the Night Before Christmas without the perplexing, old-fashioned language), but does so in a spirited and colorful format with lots of neat activities, interactive bits, and triggered animations to excite young kids. They'll even get to help Santa lay the presents under the tree. The story may be slight, but kids will likely want to read it over and over.
