Engagement, Approach, Support

Engagement

A fun way to discover something new. As with "word of the day" calendars or apps, kids get one fact each day, which is enough to get them thinking and still coming back for more the next day.

Learning Approach

No interactivity, and explanations don't go into much depth, but this app can be a starting point for additional research and discovery.

Support

The narration is nice and makes it possible for even young kids to enjoy the facts. Kids can bookmark their favorite facts and share them via email and Facebook.

Kids can learn a year's worth of facts about animals, nature, our bodies, and more. While kids and parents cannot choose specific topics to hear and read about, the wide range of subjects has a little something for everyone. The daily pops of information in FACTS FOR KIDS - a new fact every day don't go into much depth, but they can be a starting point for additional research and discovery.

The narration is nice and makes it possible for young kids to enjoy the facts, too. The facts cover a wide range of topics, so even if today's fact doesn't seem interesting, tomorrow's might. Who knew a sailfish can swim faster than a cheetah can run?
