Ease of Play

It doesn't get much simpler than flicking a football toward the goal. The addition of winds coming from different directions makes it more difficult, and the winds seem unpredictable in their influence on the ball.

What parents need to know

Parents need to know that Flick Kick Field Goal is like a virtual version of the paper flick football game many of us played to pass time at school lunches. Flick the football through the goal to earn points. As the game progresses in difficulty, it adds a wind element that you'll need to account for in your aim. In addition to a standard version where you aim for the highest score possible over a series of flicks, there is also a timed version, sudden death (miss and you're out), and a practice mode. If you'd like a challenge, you can play online or compete with a friend in the same room.

Is it any good?

FLICK KICK FIELD GOAL is a simple game that can be quite addictive, especially as you explore all of the variations. This is a nice choice for when you're waiting in line and just have a few minutes to kill. The wind element feels unpredictable at times, but such is the nature of real wind. If you're looking for an in-depth game experience, this isn't it. But if you're looking for a light distraction, this is the app for you.
