Did we miss something on diversity?
Research shows a connection between kids' healthy self-esteem and positive portrayals in media. That's why we've added a new "Diverse Representations" section to our reviews that will be rolling out on an ongoing basis. You can help us help kids by suggesting a diversity update.

What Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that Goober's Lab is adapted from a popular game in the Webkinz virtual world and allows users to win "KinzCash" that can be transferred to their Webkinz account for online purchase of virtual items. Users must already have a Webkinz account in order to use that feature (you need to have a Webkinz stuffed animal to get the account), but the app is otherwise functional without the additional account. The game is a standard match-3 game with very few frills or power-ups.

Is It Any Good?
GOOBER'S LAB is a simple game that asks you to match three or more "atoms" of the same color by swapping atoms that are side by side. A cartoon dog cheers you on with repetitive comments that are difficult to understand. It's a cute way to pass some time, or to earn KinzCash for Webkinz players, but the game doesn't have a lot of depth or variety to it. There are only two power-ups, so the only thing that changes over time is the addition of balls of different colors.
