Hardest Game Ever - 0.02s PRO

Addictive reflex-oriented game has a few iffy levels.

What parents need to know

Ease of play

It's very easy to know what to do with the puzzles. The trick is largely in the timing.

One level has you send pedestrians across a busy street. If you time it wrong and they're hit by cars, there's a crunching sound and cartoon blood. In another level, you aim bullets at a person-shaped target. In yet another level, you must defuse a bomb, although no explosion is shown if you're too slow.

Drinking, drugs, & smoking

One level has you slide a beer down a bar.

Privacy & safety

Some privacy concerns. Users can opt in to OpenFeint, an interactive network that allows users to upload real avatar photos, post on message boards, connect with Facebook friends or Twitter followers, and access live chat with strangers. Some safety concerns, as well. If users opt in to OpenFeint they can choose to share their personal information with strangers.

Parents Need to Know

Parents need to know that Hardest Game Ever - 0.02s PRO is a puzzle game that, while it might not entirely live up to its name, is certainly a good test of reflexes. The app is filled with mini-games that are fun and addicting, but a few might raise parents' eyebrows. For example, in one level, players send a beer sliding down the bar (and if it falls off, the game asks if you're drunk). In another, you send pedestrians into heavy traffic, hoping they make it to the other side of the road without being hit by a speeding car.

Is it any good?

The smartest thing the developers of HARDEST GAME EVER - 0.02s PRO did in making the game was give the player an infinite number of chances. You'll need them, but you won't mind, since the series of mini-games the app presents are both fun and addicting. That's not to say they're easy, though -- by any means. It may not be the actual "hardest game ever," but it is demanding, and that's the heart of its charm. Replaying the games again and again doesn't really get old. It's a terrific time killer for people who only have a few moments to play.
