What Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that Little Red Riding Hood StoryChimes presents an extremely sanitized version of the classic Little Red tale. The worst that happens to anybody in the story is getting tied up. In that way it is a good version for preschoolers. It is rather short, however, so any plans to use the app as a time-filler may fall flat.

Is It Any Good?
LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD STORYCHIMES plays just like a classic read-along storybook, with the ringing of chimes indicating when the next page should be turned. It has bright and colorful artwork and has nearly all of the original tale's violence and scariness removed. In that way, it strongly resembles the cleaned-up fairy tales young kids are likely to see on a show like Super WHY!. The app works nicely as a read-along, but its words don't hightlight as read. And it is regrettably short (not that there's all that much to the original story to begin with) and over rather quickly.
