Awesome game for young kids and up!

Man, I wish this game was still available! This was one of my favorite childhood games, participating in races and tournaments and unlocking characters. I loved how it even went as far as to show that each character had his/her own strengths and weaknesses when it came to speed, acceleration, and handling. I also loved the scenery of each of the races and each of the characters’ personal power-ups. This game is great for young kids and older, and even though I’m an adult, I would still play it today if it were still around.

SHREK KART HD looks as good and plays as smoothly as some of the kart-racing games found on console systems, like the Nintendo Wii. Motion-control steering makes the game easy to pick up and play, and there are unlockable characters and levels to add incentive for repeated playing. Of course, most of those console kart racers shine in multiplayer mode. Here, though, you'd have to get some friends together, each with an iPad and app download of their own. Still, there's a hearty single-player experience here, and the app is more than worth its price tag.
