Too mature and easily dangerous

As an informed child myself about how dangerous any “dating” app or social media in general can be I definitely think that this app is very dangerous, it is easy to set up a fake profile where your kids can unknowingly talk to predators, parents should definitely speak to your child about this app and monitor all usage of it. To uninformed kids this app looks harmless as it is easy to use and “fun” but really it is just a dating app for tweens that has no boundaries or age verification. With the “live video” function anyone can join any strangers live where bad language, bullying, bad influences, poor morals and nudity can occur, one wouldn’t know before watching. Please refrain from allowing kids or even teens to use this app

Eh

I used the app for about a month because my friend and I were bored. Basically I got around 500+ adds or so, although surprisingly out of those hundreds there were literally 0 guys who actually wanted an authentic friendship/relationship with me. There were a few who small talked and kept me on their Snapchat and were seemingly decent, but the vast majority wanted to negotiate sexually explicit conversation or nudes. When I refused they'd just unadd or block me. Fair enough, what else would you expect? It's important to realize that most of the guys on there are sexually frustrated soyboy 17 year olds, so they get really angry really quick if you don't show enough interest (worship the ground they walk on and compliment their 'big muscles', in other words.) I have a life so I didn't respond to messages every 10 minutes and many guys got upset by this. They were rather aggressive in nature. I don't get the appeal of this app at all. I don't really recommend unless you're looking for your child to have premature sex or want to talk to a bunch of future incels. It wouldn't surprise me if Elliot Rodger used this in his free time. Also this gives men like Ted Bundy the opportunity to groom and prey on a bunch of pre-pubescent girls. You may think your child is smart but 9 times out of 10 they aren't and will go out and meet some creepy 57 year old man posing to be a child. Parents, don't let your children under 17 use this. Tell them it's a waste of time anyways. You won't find anyone interesting and your soulmate is more than likely not fooling around on Yubo.
