Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that Zombie Wonderland is a tongue-in-cheek horror game, with cartoony zombies and a humorous premise: The hero is a "zombie cleaner" who is hired not only to kill zombies, but to clean up any guts they spill and leave his clients' homes spotless. There's a definite level of grossness and violence, but the style is very cartoony.
Is it any good?
ZOMBIE WONDERLAND is ridiculously entertaining. The action occurs at such a frantically fast pace, that you can actually work up a sweat tapping away at the screen. From an overhead view, you'll need to dash back and forth guarding windows on all four sides of a house, blasting zombies that attack from all angles. If you can find the time in between shots, you can quickly hammer up some boards to block a window, but that will only buy you a bit of time until the zombies tear through it. The true humor of the game comes in the clean-up aspect -- the very idea that someone would worry about keeping the carpet clean during a zombie invasion is hilarious. Needing to stop and mop up green "guts" while there are still zombie breaking down your doors just adds to the ludicrous fun of it all. Obviously, this is not a game for young kids, though.
