World War I Books for Kids

The terrible conflict known as the Great War lasted from 1914 to 1918. Stories about it capture the horror of trench warfare, "dogfight" battles in the air, tanks rumbling on the ground, and the suffering of worried loved ones far from the front. These books will help kids understand what it was like to be caught up in WWI, whether as a soldier, a civilian, or even a battlefield horse.
