In this action drama sequel directed by Prashanth Neel, the same story of macho heroism is told yet again, only with new villains. K.G.F: Chapter 2 tries to narrate a grand story. However, what remains most poor throughout its lengthy 168-minute trajectory is its plot. Repetitive and slow, the movie -- as with the first installment -- is only about celebrating toxic masculinity and obnoxious violence. As a result, the vast array of weapons and military-grade machinery, consistently prevalent in the backdrop of the film, are revered as fashionable and fanciful. Female characters are literally reduced to "entertainment," portrayed as decorative objects to be possessed, while harassment is discounted as romance and flirting. It's as if the filmmakers sole aim was to celebrate misogyny and violence.
