What's the Story?

BEAST GAMES features 1000 hopeful contestants competing in physical, mental, and social challenges for a life changing $5 million cash prize. Hosted by YouTube celeb Jimmy Donaldson, aka MrBeast, and joined by other content creators like Mack Hopkins, Karl Jacobs, and Chandler Hallow, the tournament begins when players enter the massive arena and take their places in numerical order. To remain there they must participate in different challenges as individuals, as duos, and as large teams. Every round results in a significant number of eliminations. Along the way players are offered significant cash "bribes" to self-eliminate, too. As the number of players goes down, participants are moved to other play areas, where they are faced with even bigger challenges. The last contestant remaining after the last round wins the massive prize.

Is It Any Good?

Our review:
Parents say ( 13 ):
Kids say ( 14 ):

This YouTube-inspired game show offers viewers a lively and tension-filled viewing experience as players do what they can to walk out of the competition with a sizable amount of money. As they navigate the game, a large number of Beast Games participants behave greedily when trying to stay in the contest, and selfishly when the financial bribes get big. This leads to arguing, yelling, crying, and people looking absolutely crushed when they are eliminated. Some players sacrifice themselves and walk away with nothing, increasing the odds of winning for everyone else. Others simply fail to successfully complete the challenges as required to stay in the game. The high-stakes ways that people are eliminated from the arenas also adds to the drama.
