What's the Story?
BLOWN AWAY: CHRISTMAS, a holiday spin-off of the Blown Away competition series, highlights skilled glass blowers creating beautiful masterpieces in honor of the Christmas season. Hosted by Queer Eye's Bobby Berk, it features five former contestants competing in a series of holiday-themed challenges in the show's iconic "hot room." Their work is evaluated by judge Katherine Gray. At the end of each episode, a glass blower is eliminated. In addition to getting $10K in cash, the winner gets to choose a charity to which an additional $10K will be donated. They also earn the title of Blown Away Champion.
Is It Any Good?
This fun, lively series special features some fan favorites creating beautiful glass items that reflect an aspect of the holiday season. The contestants are excited and congenial, and both the host and judge are positive and constructive. But the real draw to the series is watching how the artists create their masterpieces. If you like watching game shows that showcase art and creativity, Blown Away: Christmas is a jolly option to watch.
