What's the Story?

MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM GQUUUUUUX is a continuation of the anime movie Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX: Beginning. This show follows two different storylines: Char Aznable's (voiced by Kyle McCarley) and Amate (voiced by Thea Saccoliti) and Nyaan (voiced by Anairis Quinones). Char Aznable is an honored war captain, believed to have passed away in a failed army mission. However, he may still be alive. Amate and Nyaan are two high school students who become involved in an illegal underground Gundam fighting duel ring. The story continues as they dodge trouble and try to make money for themselves.

This anime continues in a franchise that viewers may need to have some experience with before watching. Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX is slow-moving, with what seems to be mostly recaps of the previous movie. That said, the space war it explores is interesting, and the viewer finds themselves hoping to see Amate and Nyaan continue to dodge getting caught so they can keep dueling.
