Mr. Scorsese
Parent and Kid Reviews
What's the Story?
Mr. Scorsese is a look at director Martin Scorsese's life in film, beginning with his childhood in New York and continuing through his creative partnership with Leonardo DiCaprio over the past 25 years. The docuseries features interviews with DiCaprio, Steven Spielberg, Robert De Niro, and many of Scorsese's friends and collaborators.
Is It Any Good?
"Watching movies with Marty is always a religious experience," said Leonardo DiCaprio on a recent podcast, and this docuseries gives viewers a small taste of that experience. Mr. Scorsese takes an in-depth look at one of the greatest directors of all time, and a man who has probably done more for the art and culture of film than anyone in the last 50 years. The series is a biographical look at Scorsese's life, as told through his body of work. The series' director, Rebecca Miller, has access to everyone from the luminaries Scorsese has worked with and inspired, to his parents, to his daughters, to even his childhood friends. His love for film imbues every moment of this five-hour series.
