What's the Story?

NEXT GEN NYC is an unscripted series that introduces viewers to the Zillennial and Gen Z generation of Bravo reality stars. It follows the lives of Ariana Biermann and Riley Burruss, the daughters of Real Housewives of Atlanta's Kim Zolciak and Kandi Burruss, respectively; Gia Giudice, the daughter of Real Housewives of New Jersey's Terese Giudice; and Brooks Marks, the son of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City's Meredith Marks. Also joining the group are Ava Dash, the daughter of music and fashion notables Damon Dash and Rachel Roy; Hudson McLeroy, son of the co-founder of fast-food parent company Zaxby's; crypto investor and club promoter Charlie Zakkour; NYC influencer Georgia McCann; and fashion insider Shai Fruchter. Rounding out the group is model and influencer Emira D'Spain, Bravo's first full-time transgender cast member. From launching their own brands and enjoying the NYC social scene to trying to find an identity in or outside of the reality show universe, these folks are enjoying all the fun and drama that living in front of a camera has to offer.

Is It Any Good?

Our review:
Parents say : Not yet rated
Kids say : Not yet rated

The predictable unscripted series spin-off offers all the on-camera drama that one comes to expect from Bravo's reality fare. Whether these 20- to 30-somethings grew up appearing on a version of Real Housewives or are part of the cast due to their colorful or privileged backgrounds, each person in Next Gen NYC offers a colorful look into how they're making sense of who they are and what they want out of life. Their experiences feel mildly authentic, but those experiences often get lost in the franchise's traditional voyeuristic formula, which focuses on gossip and drama. It's geared to a new generation of viewers, but Real Housewives fans will be familiar with the show's vibe and will also enjoy the appearance of some of the original franchise's cast members throughout.
