What's the Story?
In TASTEFULLY YOURS, an ambitious director of a food corporation named Han Beom-Woo (Kang ha-neul) attracts admirers, as well as protestors, for his aggressive management style. While pushing his chef to create three-star-worthy dishes at his top-ranked restaurant in Seoul, Han Beom-Woo discovers one of his signature creations has already been made elsewhere. He jumps into his luxury car and drives to the bucolic town where the dish is being served, determined to buy out the restaurateur so he can claim the dish as his own. Little does he know that he'll soon meet a woman with a farm-to-table ethic that will reduce him to size. Can he bully her into giving him what he wants? Or will she dominate him with her unique skills?
Is It Any Good?
This rom-com's art-house focus is enhanced by the charming performances of its proficient actors. Go min-si (The Frog) delivers a tense, captivating performance as Mo Yeon-joo.
Tastefully Yours doesn't suffer from its Cinderella-story formula. Instead, it uses the formulaic momentum to propel it to a finer level. Parents and teens who are fans of food and romance can enjoy this one together.
