The Z-Suite
Parent and Kid Reviews
What's the Story?
In THE Z-SUITE, Monica Marks (Lauren Graham, Gilmore Girls) accepts her award for excellence in advertising and hands it to her assistant Doug (Nico Santos, Superstore), who promptly drops it. Though she should be at the top of her game, Monica flubs a new ad for a headphone client and loses a burger account to the Gen Z members of the creative team, led by Kriska (Madison Shamoun, The Lake). As clients call for more young influence on accounts, Monica and Doug feel the squeeze. Will they regain their footing in the industry they've devoted their lives to? Or will Gen Z take over the workplace entirely?
Is It Any Good?
Capitalizing on the gap between Gen X, who grew up in shopping malls, and Gen Z, whose mall is a giant store called the internet, this hilarious comedy will appeal to families whose members constitute both groups. The Z-Suite boasts clever rejoinders, spot-on characters, and determined achievers whose work ethics are utterly foreign to one another.
Fans of Gilmore Girls will love seeing Lauren Graham's driven energy. This fast-paced, tightly directed show will entertain teens and adults while providing germane topics regarding the changing workplace.
Talk to Your Kids About ...
Families can talk about communication in The Z-Suite. How can generations work together when their perception of work differs so vastly? How can patient communication help to smooth things out?
The Gen X characters are exasperated by Gen Z's perception of what perseverance means. Does having a college degree and five months' experience equal having 30 years of experience? In any situation?
A convergence of people with different backgrounds try to get things done in this office comedy. How can teams with different perspectives work together? What does this show say about teamwork?
