Natural Reader is an excellent, free text-to-speech program. If you choose to purchase any of the premium versions, the added features are well worth it too. Simplicity is by far its best feature and it just does what it claims in a variety of applications. The voices are as natural-sounding as possible, and the floating toolbar is incredibly easy to use. As kids highlight text and hear it aloud, they’ll be excited to get info that may not have been accessible to them before. That’s a big deal; Natural Reader can be very empowering for lots of kids who need reading assistance for any reason.
