Kids can learn anything they want to learn as they explore their interests using this handy text-to-speech tool. For kids with visual or learning difficulties, Natural Reader will give them new access to a world of information. Kids who like to multitask can also use Natural Reader to listen to books and study materials that they’ve turned into mp3’s. It can help with reading comprehension, giving kids a chance to process info their own way and hopefully find more success with homework and study time. Simplicity is Natural Reader’s best asset; it can give kids get the freedom to learn about any topic they desire.

The purchased versions have more features, like the ability to convert files to mp3, cloud storage, and more, but if you’re looking for a simple, free text-to-speech tool, Natural Reader is the natural choice.

The worst website i have seen in a long time.

What's it about?

Natural Reader is a downloadable text-to-speech tool for kids who struggle with reading, or simply want text read aloud to them. Once downloaded, you can use it anywhere by simply selecting or copying and pasting text. Natural Reader can read Word files, web pages, pdf files, and emails. There’s a floating toolbar that you can access in any of these applications. In the purchased versions, kids can create mp3 or wav files to listen to study material on the go. Instructions aren’t available within the program, but they’re pretty simple and can be accessed on the website or in a series of YouTube videos.

Is it any good?

Natural Reader is an excellent, free text-to-speech program. If you choose to purchase any of the premium versions, the added features are well worth it too. Simplicity is by far its best feature and it just does what it claims in a variety of applications. The voices are as natural-sounding as possible, and the floating toolbar is incredibly easy to use. As kids highlight text and hear it aloud, they’ll be excited to get info that may not have been accessible to them before. That’s a big deal; Natural Reader can be very empowering for lots of kids who need reading assistance for any reason.
